José González leads NY Communities for Change’s (NYCC) research projects and manages campaigns related to climate and finance with an emphasis on corporate accountability. He has worked on pension funds fossil fuel divestment at the city and state level and on housing and wage related campaigns. With the Debt Justice Alliance and having organized on issue of public or sovereign debt with diaspora communities in New York, he has helped build a debt justice framework for political mobilization. Prior to working with NYCC, Jose worked at The Working Families Party and was a journalist.
